This month, we're focusing on the Scholar vocation. Below, find a new prompt associated with Vocation Spotlights, as well as a new Specialization feature.

Vocation Apprenticeship
Currently, joining a vocation requires several Storyline prompts to be completed, a work permit earned, and a vocation prompt on top of that. During months when a Vocation Specialization is introduced, the Vocation Apprenticeship prompt will appear, allowing your elkh to apprentice under another elkh who is already working under their vocation. For example, Halima (Bep-1500) is a Scholar, so another elkh could apprentice under her and learn the Scholar vocation by doing only a single prompt with the two of them in it! These prompts have a one month time limit when they are active and apply only to the featured vocation. You'll earn the vocation badge, a work permit, and unlock vocation drops.

 Elkh in the Scholar vocation can now choose to specialize and become an Apothecarist. What better place to study than in Reheva, Silkkassan beacon of medicine and science?
Learn to assist human medical experts, give treatment recommendations, and find ingredients for medicine!
 Apothecarists will earn their uniform via the Apothecarist Specialization prompt (which you can either complete the prompt via art or prose, OR simply attach the specified crafting materials to the prompt submission instead), and new crafting recipies are now available in the Scholar Shop.

Food Bank Fundraiser
Due to government shutdown, people in America who rely on SNAP may be going hungry this month. We're doing a fundraiser to help. Make a donation to any of the following and receive a clip of your choice (this is a digital accessory item for your bepotelkh character) for every $5 donated. Take a screenshot and DM to Herboreal on discord to get your clip (or send proofs via claim if you're not on discord).
Choose from: Checkerboard cookie clips, Pepparkakor clips, or Biscochito clips.

Autumnfound fuzzy boxes (random chance) will be available in the autumnfound shop starting today for 20 acorns. We stuffed some extra acorns in the daily calendar this month so make sure to check it every day!
And starting November 24th, acorn boxes will be purchasable with gildes for ONE WEEK ONLY! As always, if you have extra acorns at the end of the month you may hold onto them for next year OR attach them to a claim and request them to be turned into gildes (1:1 ratio)

advent calendar changes
Due to player request we are now implementing another way of getting the advent calendar final prize. You may now draw the Featured Character (seen on the front page of the website) in exchange for the calendar prize. You may only do this once a month, but that now means you can get the prize twice if you draw AND complete the calendar. As always, if your character is the featured character you are still welcome to draw them and receive the prize.
Because we implemented this just before the end of October we will extend October's prize (fuzzy familiar: lupine) for drawing October's featured bep (bep-1898) until Nov 15th. (Submit using the featured character prompt, we will know which prize you want by the character you draw)
This month's calendar completion prize is a Plush of Autumnfound shopkeep Tata! Feel free to draw this featured bep any time this month to receive the prize.

Every month, this frisky fuzzy hides somewhere on the site. Find them and get 5 gildes! The fuzzy will never be hidden on the masterlist, but may appear in Guide pages, Location descriptions, sections on the World page, or any of the Encyclopedia entries. There will be no hints and we hope you will keep the location secret if you find it so others may enjoy the hunt on their own! Happy hunting!

Discord fun and games!
Are you in our discord server? We have art channels, social channels, a character building channel and more! We run special bep games run twice a month. The first week is fun questions to answer about your character in exchange for gildes. From the 8th to the end of the month will be a bigger game, including either art or a little extra work, for a special prize!
This month we'll be running a special Deco Card themed bep game! The prize will be a very sparkly special edition fuzzy familiar so come check it out!

Bepotelkh Lore of the Month
When it comes to village living, elkh have a few options: -Living in the home with a Human companion: most homes are made to accommodate elkh companions at this point. Large doorways allow for entry into the home without difficulty, though some side rooms may not be as easy to enter. -Living in an outbuilding attached to the home (pictured above): the home may have an addition on it that allows the elkh to sleep out in the fresh air, but still under the same roof. This is especially nice because Silkkassan elkh are built for the cold, so a home heated to human standards may be uncomfortable at times. This is less common in the warmer Miatias. -Living in the public stables: near the center of each village is a structure made for any elkh who wishes to take up residence. These are free to use as long as there is space available. The elkh register with the local Ambassador to get a stall assigned where they can sleep at night and keep any belongings. In Miatias, there are also semi-open-air communal baths in the larger villages where elkh can cool off in the summer. |
